There are many ways to get involved in the Association, as a volunteer or as an active community member.  From joining the board or becoming a committee member, to posting on the discussion board, or contributing to one of our fundraising campaigns, we want you to get involved.

Volunteer

Each year, we invite emerging and experienced leaders to join our Board of Directors.  This volunteer team of practitioners from across the world and in diverse careers guides the strategic direction of the Association and implements our strategy.  Calls for board members are announced each fall, or as needed.  Stay tuned for announcements to be made in our newsletter, Snapshot, on our discussion board, and in the News & Announcements section of the website for more details.  You can also volunteer as a community member and help us to reach our vision.  Or, become an active community member: participate in a webinar, happy hour, or other event sponsored by the Association.

Fundraising Campaigns

Your membership dues support the operating costs of the Association, including hosting our website, travel and meeting costs for our annual board retreat, and expanding the Segal-Seashore Fellowship Fund to support current students in the American University MSOD program.  Here’s how to contribute:

1. Donate to the Association’s general fund, which ensures we have the operating budget to run the day-to-day and long-term activities that invest in and secure our future. This includes website hosting fees, travel for the Annual board retreat, representation of the Association at OD conferences, and printing brochures to recruit students, alumni, and faculty to join the Association.

2. Contribute to the Segal-Seashore Fellowship Fund, which provides scholarship dollars to well-deserving students in the American University MSOD program. When you make a donation to this campaign, 100% of your contribution goes to support current students studying Organization Development, and honors the dreams of Morley Segal and Edith Seashore.  Read more…
